Busy or Lazy?
Both. But let's say that busy is heavier than lazy right now. And I have a lot of material to write for here, some of the entries are 90% ready but they still need some finishing touches to be published. Anyway...
In the meantime, I'm back from a vacation which one was maybe the best I ever had so far. I have to mention that for most of the Bulgarian people, the perfect summer vacation is: one week at the sea, then one week at the mountains. So, I did exactly the same. Man, it was great to be on the beach, sitting under the umbrella with cold beer in one hand and with "DWWS" in the other. After a week there, I thought that I can live like that all my life(well, at least 2 months every year). But the good vacation is not only in the good things - it is also in the people who are with you. I can say that I've always loved a good company. And what will be a good vacation without a good company? I should think about that.
The second week was almost like a mirror of the first one. I mean - no sea water, no sands, no huge crowds of people all around, more silence, cold evenings. It was something like a chill out week after the week at the sea. Something like a vacation in the vacation. Add 2 more months from every year for spending vacations there. Wish I could have more vacations in the future.
I almost forgot that during the sea week, I decided to travel north(I was at the south seaside) for just a day to Kavarna for a Whitesnake concert. A great show and perfect organization in Kavarna again! Than back to the south(Kiten > Bourgas > Sunny Beach > Kavarna > Sunny Beach > Bourgas > Kiten).
Well, every thing in a life has a beginning and end(only the sausage has 2 ends). So, my vacation has ended but as I said previously, it was just a great rest for the mind and body. Now I'm full with positive thoughts and energy and I can get back to work and life as it was.
In some time, after the first couple of days of my vacation, I thought that maybe it will better if my vacations are shorter(yes, I know about the dreaming for a 2+2 months...). I mean sometimes, some people (including me) are having much more fun in a short vacation than in a long. And the start after a short vacation is faster than from a long(I'm talking about the start to work).
Almost 5 months after the changing of my status from full time freelancer to a full time employee of Weblancers, I'm still not really sure that I can work all my life as a full time employee. To be a freelancer is one the coolest jobs you can have(doesn't matter if you are a developer, designer, writer, etc.). Yes, you have the freedom. Yes, you can choose your projects and your clients. Yes, you can work when you want to work(9to5 is not always a good time to be a 100% ready to create / think / experiment) and where you want(on the beach with cold beer in one hand and laptop on the knees... just kidding but who knows). Yes, you can...
As I always said, the easiest thing is to quit, the hardest is to continue to try. And I will continue.
