I'm sure you see the cake! Yes, that's right - this site has a birthday on July 2nd, 2005! A year later, I'm still thinking that this site changes my life a lot.

A year and a half ago, I thought that it will be great to have my own website, my own dotcom(or something - .net, .org, etc.) where I can experiment, post thoughts, share photos and more. Well, free hostings were really great but they have their own limitations(that's normal because they are free!).
So, I started the searching for a good web hosting in May - June 2004 when one day I landed on the website of DOM.BG. I want to tell you one thing, guys from DOM.BG - you are really great! It was very exciting when I made my order to purchase my first hosing and domain. And suddenly(after few hours) I became a proud owner of this very site.

I posted a few photos when I got this domain+hosting. I had no idea of a design at that time. According to the Wayback Machine, the first version of my website was looking like this, which was just a blue box, simply titled "MAKAVEEV.COM". But there was one sure thing in the future design - the blue color. I don't know why do I love blue so much but there are so much cool things in blue color(the sky, the ocean, "Flying in a blue dream" by Joe Satriani, this website, etc.).

The 1st anniversary was silent. I mean there wasn't a birthday party(except a few beers shared with friends last night). But I'm already planing the 2nd birthday - a party with cake, party hats and all the crazy stuff around. So, stay tuned and maybe you will have a chance to earn a special VIP pass through this site.
